Yama was Elon Musk’s husky while he was studying at UPenn and living with his family in Toronto. The two were photographed together by his then-girlfriend Jennifer Gwynne over Christmas break in 1994/95 — an image that later sold for over $2,000 at auction in 2022. Gwynne later confirmed the husky’s name.
